Grapejuice

If we are really grapes (as S. suggested in her comment) instead of marbles, then we've had time to see how we've been squeezed and what has come from that pressing. Hopefully with time comes restoration and new life to the branches. Through experience and faith we are rooted more deeply in love. Passing of time can reveal the plan. Some grapes are already pressed into service in other places, lending substance and flavor into where they are being blended. Some grapes still cluster together, and as they mature and ripen, wait for the new wine to be produced. It all seems so fluid (pardon the pun), yet we are being built upon a solid foundation, built together in Christ and with a purpose. Part of the purpose is that through the church, the complicated, many-sided wisdom of God in all its infinite variety and innumerable aspects might now be made known....even to the spiritual powers and principalities (Eph. 3.) Paul prays that we will (really, really) know the love of Christ and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself! Now that is better than we can imagine and a lot better than being full of any other kind of fermented juice. So if we are being constantly renewed with a fresh mental and spiritual attitude we'll provide no foothold for any contaminant to get in. Only the best wine will be produced.
